Baptism is such a significant moment in our lives as Christ followers. Our team is here to guide you through every step of the process.

At SouthBrook, we practice water immersion, as baptism was originally practiced in the early first-century church.  Water baptism is an individual and personal act of faith and obedience to Christ.  Baptism is how people in the early church, and still today say “yes” to Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Although performed in water, baptism symbolizes Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection – where we experience “new life.” Jesus himself was baptized by John the Baptist.  We are honored to assist anyone who wants to take this “next step” in his or her faith journey.

Every August, we host “Big Splash Weekend,” where 100’s of people are baptized on the same day. Baptisms can also be scheduled during a Sunday service.  Private baptisms are also available.

For 6 and older, we offer a “KidSplash Parent Resource” to help parents know when their child is ready for baptism. For any child 5 and under, please check out our Child Dedication Ceremonies.
