Title: Child Dedication Class
Category: Kids

There are a number of church traditions that practice infant baptism. We believe baptism is a decision people need to make for themselves and encourage people to guide their children toward making the decision to be baptized when they can understand what it means. We do offer parents the opportunity to participate in a Child Dedication service, where they can commit to raising their children as followers of Jesus. This class is for parents of children ages 5 and younger.

Title: CIY Mix
Category: Students

MIX is a four-day event for 6th-8th graders that takes place at Cedarville University. MIX engages students through fun, interactive activities, coupled with dynamic worship, Biblical teaching and small group interaction.

MIX understands middle school students need their own experience. At a unique time in their lives, students are growing and learning different than any other age group. Still young enough to need to play, but old enough to start understanding some core ideals that will stay with them the rest of their lives.   For this reason, MIX isn’t designed for high school students or preteens. It’s specifically designed for middle school students–for it’s their chance to be exactly who they are: to play, listen and learn as themselves.   It’s also created for adult leaders to build relationships with students that will last long after the MIX experience. At MIX, students will come to understand their identity in God’s Kingdom, and be challenged to embrace the Kingdom work He has prepared for them

Arrive at CEDARVILLE on June 23 from 2-3 pm for check in

Title: Men's Group
Category: Men

SouthBrook Mens Group is a place to get Oriented

An Oriented man grounds his life and actions on three things:

His Identity, his environment and his mission.  He knows…

1.    Who he is.  In Christ we are beloved Sons of the Father

2.    Where he is.  An oriented man has “eyes to see and ears to hear” what is going on around him

3.    The good that God is up to.  He looks for the good that God is doing in his life and through his life.

SBMG Mission – We hope to see the hearts of men so foundationally settled, so well trained, so well equipped and so well engaged that when evil dare raise its head, beloved sons will know what to do and do it well!

Our community values - Belief that the heart is good, a persons glory is perused not their sin.   It’s a lifestyle where lives intersect.  We pray, play, worship, eat, and share. It cannot be contained in a day, time or place.  It’s a safe and trusting place.  It will be messy, change and disruption are necessary and it must be missional!

Join us on Wednesdays at 6 AM or 7 PM.

Title: Provoke
Category: General

Provoke's mission is to create Dayton by creating a community of faith-based leaders who grow together, connect with others and mentor those around them. We create environments that encourage and equip leaders to grow a better community with integrity, character, and vision.

Inspiration...We believe leaders are inspired by being provoked to think differently, stretched and challenged to grow. A leader has a strong encouraging vision for the future and inspires others to follow.

Comforting...We believe vulnerability is key to awaken the mind and the heart. We desire to create a place where leaders can honestly share their life experience and how it impacted their world and the life of those they lead.

Resourcing...We believe in resourcing, coaching, teaching and mentoring leaders to strongly impact those they lead, follow and grow. Leaders are not just born they are forged. Great leaders can be cultivated to meet and exceed the expectations of the community, its people and each other.

Provoke meets monthly on the first Tuesday from 7-8 a.m. in the Small Theater. No cost or registration required.

Title: The Passage
Category: Students

This event is only for graduating seniors and their parents/guardians. The Passage is a way for us to come alongside you, the parents/guardians, for a chance to walk your student into the next phase of their journey.

It will be an evening of semi formal attire (business casual), a fancy meal, laughter, shared memories, a great message from Charlie, and an epic moment for parents and students. Through the evening together it is our vision that parents would have the chance to read a blessing over their child and challenge them in their faith as they take on the next stage of their journey. Our desire in telling you way in advance is to invite you to play a huge role in making the night impactful.

We want parents to do a few things as a part of the night:

  • Write a blessing that you would read to your child. We have some great examples if you need some insight as to what to write.
  • Contact your child’s mentors, grandparents, teachers, etc. to have them write letters of encouragement. We want you to build a scrapbook full of things for each student.
  • Get them a Bible and highlight your favorite verses throughout. You can also ask others that they respect to highlight as well.

Through the evening together we want them to understand that they have what it takes to make the journey. We want them to hear words of blessing from their parents and influencers.

We ask that your prayerfully consider being a part of this incredible evening. We do ask that you keep the details of the evening to yourselves and not share it with your child. We want them to be surprised by all that goes on that evening.
